We use Vista exclusively on all our tests now, why use XP when it does not support the latest DX extensions and the games we test with mainly use the DX10 API as well. We run all our tests a total of three times and then balance the score as no run is exactly the same in any instance. We do use a few DX 9 games to see how they run on the latest cards and system configurations for comparison reasons, but in the next few months they will also become obsolete as DX10 games become the standard. Diamond provided us with 7.14 BETA drivers, which may not be the most robust driver to test with, but it was the only one that saw the cards and worked without error. All tests ran without any problems even in the 24 hour loop state of 3Dmark 2006.
