Setting up is easy as can be, either use the disc or download the drivers from Logitech easily. I would also recommend downloading LcdStudio, it's free and easy to use, and it broadens the amount of apps you can run on the LCD screen. Even without that, the LCD screen is very useful, with some basic apps and lots more for download over at http://www.g15forums.com/forum/index.php.
The keyboard itself has a very nice feel to it, even with its large size. For everyday usage this keyboard can be just a bit of overkill, unless you really need the macro buttons. Though if you find yourself typing the same thing over and over every day, then the macro keys will come in very handy. I know they have made my job easier, being able to have macros that automatically type a line of code, or a few words often used.
