EVGA is one of the foremost players in the NVIDIA VGA arena and they were kind enough to provide us with two identical 8000 series cards for each of these test systems. The 8800GTS 320 is one of the hottest selling 3D cards on the market currently and supports the latest DX10 extensions for playing the hottest new game titles in Microsoft Vista. The card requires nominal power when compared to its big brother the EVGA 8800GTX card, which allowed me to use it in the Intel systems server case with its just adequate 650W power supply. This can be a good thing to users who do not have a high enough rated PSU to run the GTX, and there is not a grand amount of pixel power lost using the GTS in lieu of the GTX. Overall the 8800GTS 320 is the price point winner as well, and can be found all over the internet for around $259.00 or right here at my favorite spot Newegg.

Games play very well even at the maximum widescreen resolution of the 20-22" monitors of 1680X1050 pixels. Since DX10 is only fully supported through Microsoft Vista we tried to do as many of the tests as possible using this OS. Many of the tests we do are from a users direct interface or experience on the PC we are reviewing and are not shown in any graphs or pretty diagrams for you to see. From the many hours me and my staff used these cards in gaming we found them to be stable, slightly overclockable and completely able to handle any of the latest DX10 titles such as S.T.A.L.K.E.R and Lost Planet. Although the high-end enterprise Quadro cards are touted as the creme de la creme for doing 3D, Auto-Cad and Photoshop rendering, these cards do a good enough job for the semi-pro or dabbling user to be a viable tool in that environment. NVIDIA has updated drivers on a continuous basis to address know issues and enhance performance, and EVGA has one of the best support teams in the business making these cards an attractive product from many different angles. The cards ran completely stable through all aspects of testing and all games that were played
