 CPUz
This new series of CPUs from AMD is the first to match the LGA775 platform by moving the connector pins off the back of the chip and onto the motherboard via the ZIF Socket, something Intel has done a generation back. The FX-74 is the top dog in this three CPU series that starts with the 2.6GHz FX-70, the 2.8GHz FX-72, and the fastest 3.0GHz FX-74 which is used in its dual CPU configuration in this review. Prices at AMD have dropped to much lower than before and a set of these CPUs can now be affordably obtained around the net.
