V7 D22W12 22 Inch Widescreen Monitor Review Angle View

Although I cannot accurately recreate for you the way the screen actually looks, as you are limited by the monitor you are using and its visual capabilities, I can say this monitor looked very good to my eyes however. I was impressed at how clear the text was and how well the color looked in both games and 3D programs such as Maya and Lightwave, not the absolute best, but not shabby by any means. The monitor is bright enough that it can be seen well even in the daylight and I had to dim it down a bit to write text in the evenings. White backgrounds have a strong glare and can be a bit straining on the eyes so I tone down the brightness at night.

Having a 5ms overall response time offers gamers clear colors and no ghosting in even the latest FPS titles such as G.R.A.W and HL2, this is an important aspect of the monitor for those who play a lot of first person, flying or racing type games as ghosting plain sucks. The colors are all pretty vibrant, and although not as good as the colors on what I consider the number one 22" monitor the Samsung 226BW, it is a close second and not hard on the eyes at all.

There was no color bleeding or background light leakage on the D22W12-N6 as I have seen on many other monitors; you know that messy white light around the edge of your LCD? The black background in games and pages on the internet was black not grey, which is a problem I have seen on other LCD monitors, but not seen here luckily. Leaving little to complain about the V7 D22W12-N6 is eye ergonomic; it is good for either a writing career or a bad gaming habit whichever you may have. If you just surf the net and check email, you will be blown away by the clarity. Movies and streaming video also looked very good and never showed any flaws or screen errors during my week of testing the monitor.
