NXZT Lexa case Review :: The Exterior
The outside of the case is of an interesting design. With the proliferation of modern looking cases on the market, the design looks like a Porsche car in some respects with the Silver front door of the case rounded with a line on it. The door to the case swings open from the left side, revealing 4 5.25" drive bays and two 3.5" drive bays for expansion. To mount a drive, attach two drive rails to the sides of the drive and slide it into position. You can't go wrong with the visual aspects of this case. The Power button is on the top of the door on the right hand side of the case. This position makes for easy reaching from a seated location, but with the size of the case may make sitting the case on a desk a long reach for some people. Most people keep their systems on the floor so it's not an issue. The case came with two side panels. The Left hand panel is a windowed side panel that you can see your computer components easily with. The case is also available with a side panel that isn't windowed. The NZXT logo is present on the left hand side panel. The right side panel is the normal side panel with nothing fancy on it. The windowed side panel has a lock to lock the case with. The Front Panel Audio, USB and Firewire ports are located in an interesting position on the case. Most cases have them either on the top of the case like the CoolerMaster cases or on the Front bottom area of the case. NZXT decided to position these ports on the bottom right hand side of the case, making for interesting positioning of the cables. The rear of the exterior of the case has the opening for the PSU, the openings for the motherboard connections and the back fan. The rear has spaces for 7 expansion devices, which is common for most motherboards as the maximum amount available. A 80mm fan grill is above the motherboard expansion openings. Discuss This Article
