Oblivion was the best game of last year, being an immersive, long, beautiful RPG (Role Playing Game). The game makes full use of Pixel Shader 2.0 length programs with water that looks like real running water and Vertex Shaders 2.0 with realistic grass, facial animation, deformation of water and more. HDR is used throughout the game in the sky, in armor, on the buildings. The 7600GTS runs the game fine. I would suggest the lower resolutions as the 7600GTS is not a 7950 GX2 or a X1950XTX.
George Lucas spawned a huge multimedia franchise when his first Star Wars movie hit the big screen. Toys, video games, action figures, a cartoon series and five sequels makes Star Wars one of the absolute genius ideas of all time. Star Wars Lego II: The Original Trilogy is a fun Lego re-imagining of the original three movies, Star Wars IV: A New Hope, Star Wars V: Empire Strikes Back, and Star Wars VI: Return of the Jedi. This game is an excellent showcase of the 7600GTS abilities and plays wonderfully as well.
Tomb Raider was one of the first games that really said "Next Generation" gaming to me when it was first released in 1996 for the Playstation console. Third Person Shooters are fun and the graphics were really wonderful for the time period. Tomb Raider Legend is the latest game in the series. One of the features of this game is the Next Generation content for Shader Model 3.0 cards like the 7600GTS. Tomb Raider Legend is playable at 1024x768 with little problem on the 7600GTS with the Next Generation Content enabled.
