EVGA 256-P2-N612-TX e-GeForce 7600 GTS Video Card Review

A note about the near future, NVIDIA has announced that they are going to launch their next generation high-end card in the next month or so at their traditional launch party, the GeForceLAN 3. With the next inflection point being Microsoft Vista and Shader Model 4, it might be a good idea of waiting for your next high-end video card purchase, as it will likely outperform, out feature the current GeForce 7950 GX2 or ATI card, but today's review is on a mainstream card, meaning under $200, which probably won't be replaced until sometime next year. EVGA is known as a manufacturer of NVIDIA video cards. Their support is second to none in the industry, and they generally offer faster than reference cards. The bulk of sales in the standalone video card market come from the mid-range and lower category (under $200). One of the excellent examples of this is the GeForce 7600GS. Today I have the EVGA GeForce 7600GTS based upon this chipset on the test bench.
