ATI sent this card with its own driver. Unfortunately, when trying to install the latest Catalyst 6.9 drivers the drivers did not install successfully, as the .inf files don't include support for this card. The included drivers successfully installed without issue. ATI updates their graphics card drivers every month or so, meaning that their next set will likely have support for this card.

ATI's Catalyst Control Center is the name for their driver Control Panel utility. After using a simple control panel for many years, ATI went to an application that uses Microsoft's .Net and resembles Microsoft's Vista interface. As an Advanced user that wants to have control over the driver settings, I used the Advanced tab, giving full control over AA, AF, and other settings with a click of the mouse.

The X1950XTX is default clocked at 650/2.0GHz. ATI has included a overclocking utility with their cards called OverDrive. OverDrive overclocks the card automatically the maximum reading on the card with OverDrive is 700/2.2GHz. The idle temperature of the card at default clock was around 68C and OverDrive didn't overclock much. VPU Recover is a utility that detects if the graphics card has a problem and suspends the 3D.
