Spire SP512S7 CPU Heatsink Review :: Performance Overclocked

Author: Tulatin · 09-17-2006 · Category: Hardware - Cooling

As one can see, the addition of many clock cycles, as well as a hefty amount of voltages places this sink into a perilous position. Sweltering fins cause problems by spilling their searing air onto the board below, and if the temperature of the air around was to drive up any higher, it would likely result in a system now found to be unstable, even with a fresh breath of air coming in through the side. It's a good thing, then, that this sink isn't made for the overclocker.
