Oblivion is one of the most beautiful games around. The game, released earlier this year makes extensive use of Pixel and Vertex Shaders, HDR and other advanced features. Oblivion's use of HDR means that the game cannot play with both MultiSample and Anti-Aliasing enabled at the same time. The game played well on the 7600GT, with 1024x768 and HDR fully playable and 1280x1024 mostly playable. As Oblivion is a RPG, this is good.
F.E.A.R. was released last year to a lot of acclaim and was considered by me, at least to be the game of 2005. The graphics in the game use Pixel and Vertex Shaders to a lot of good use. The 7600GT plays the game with a lot of ease, with 1024x768 4x AA 16x AF fully playable. For a mid-range video card that is great.
Prey is a First Person Shooter that was recently released. Prey is one of the first games based on the Doom 3 engine. One complaint of Doom 3 is that it's too dark. When playing the game I had to turn up the brightness or the game would not be playable. Prey is different, in that the game has a lot of bright areas with tons of things like a Black and White Television or a Video Poker game. Prey plays well on the 7600GT, with 1280x1024 no AA no AF fully playable.
