Installing the unit on the AMD Athlon 64 platform (Sockets 754, 939, 940) was really, and truly a breeze. All that had to be done was to remove the existing heatsink, wipe down the processor with rubbing alcohol, apply a fresh layer of thermal grease, then place down the block, complete with foam block and metal spacer. After this, simply hold it in place, while securing the locking bracket over top, lining up the notches in it with the metal plate, then, after clipping it to both sides of the retention module, simply screw it down, and voila, you're home free.
