Our new video card platform is based upon AMD's 5000+ CPU, 2 GB of DDR2 memory, a nForce 590 board from Foxconn, 2 74GB WD Raptor SATA HDDs and is as modern as can be. The test software has also been modified, as 3DMark03 and Aquamark3 are rather dated by today's standards. Oblivion is the latest RPG from Bethesda Softworks, the makers of Morrowind. The game is simply breathtaking and is a good addition to our benchmark tests. Another factor with cards like two 7900GTXs in SLI mode is that High resolution gaming is not only possible but a must with these cards. To that end I have added resolutions up to 2048x1536 in our tests, the maximum my monitor will display.
