Oblivion is the latest and greatest game from Bethsheda. I've been playing a bucketload of hours in the game being the Grand Champion of the Arena, the Arch Mage of the Mage's Guild, the leader of the Figher's Guild and more. If you haven't bought this game yet I would strongly suggest it. The game plays absolutely fabulously on two 7900GTXs in SLI mode. 2048x1536 with HDR and AF enabled is completely smooth, with frame rates in the 50s nearly throughout the game. One thing NVIDIA cards cannot do is MSAA (Multi-Sample Anti-Aliasing)+ HDR (High Dynamic Range lighting) at the same time, but you can play with Bloom+MSAA. At the moment, the only cards capable of doing both at the same time are the ATI cards.

The second game I took for a spin with the two cards is the Prey demo recently released by Human Head Studios. Prey is a FPS (First Person Shooter) that makes extensive use of Pixel and Vertex Shaders throughout. The demo starts off in an Indian casino like area where you can play games like Blackjack, Video Poker, a Slot machine and more. Prey at the moment does not have a SLI profile, but NVIDIA has released a hot fix to enable an SLI profile, simply use the Quake4 or Doom 3 profile to use SLI with the demo. The demo plays extremely well with no issues with either single or dual 7900GTXs. The first game that really got me into playing 3D games was of course Doom way back when. But the first game that got me excited about playing 3D games was the first Tomb Raider. Lara Croft fighting in a 3D environment oh wow! Tomb Raider has crossed genres into movies books and more. The latest iteration of Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider Legend was released earlier this year. NVIDIA and Eidos have teamed up to release a demo based on "Next Generation Content" using the game engine. It's simply breathtaking.
