Now, Coolermaster is one of those companies (much like Thermaltake) that you kind of "grow up on". Way back in the day - the era of cheap steel chassis with no fan holes, no rolled edges, and primer grey interiors, the designers at Coolermaster decided something had to be done. With now legendary designers in their hands, Coolermaster created the ATC series of cases. Though exorbitant in price (we're talking $220 versus $20 here), you would get an absolute work of art in pure aluminum, with a glass forward door and a see through window. It drove enthusiasts gaga. Yet, as time moved on, that prestige was stolen away by others - companies like Lian Li and Silverstone dropped onto the scene and Coolermaster took a shift with its appeal. Today, Coolermaster's like goes after all types of enthusiast, rather than the extremely extreme. With an entry point at under $80 USD, much of their new cases are quite easy to come by. Well, that is unless you wanted a Stacker 830 in mirrored black, with a Western Digital Raptor installed just under the roof, covered up by a bent acrylic plate, and lit on the sides by a pair of throbbing ultraviolet cathodes. Add in an I-Pod dock a little further up the case, and all of a sudden, your response from the gamer becomes amazing.

Beyond this hot modified stacker, Coolermaster was also demonstrating their newest Aquagate water cooling systems - designed to free the heat of a crossfire setup into the air, this setup is small enough to fit into a single HDD bay, and can even be adapted to chill the chipset/CPU. It's a shame that we haven't tested more of these units so far, but I'd assume that in future, these things will be done, so that it's effectiveness as a crossfire cooling solution can be evaluated. With those damn sweet cases aside, let's take the last stop on today's tour - staring down the blade of a Scythe
