GIGABYTE used a similar cooling solution to ATI's reference cooling solution with the exception of the red color on the PCB. There is a 29-fin cooling fan on the front, with a larger heat sink on the rest of the front of the PCB. The X1900XTX is a 2-slot design, meaning that it won't fit easily into a small form factor PC or a case that has limited expansion slots.

Heat Sink fans
ATI decided that to use a copper heat sink on the card, and GIGABYTE follows suit with their card. The cooling system is rather loud in operation under full load. In an open case I almost couldn't stand the noise the fan put out, as it was louder than any other computer component on my system. In a closed system, the noise was bearable, but a far cry from NVIDIA's cooling fan noise.

GIGABYTE decided to include two DVI-I ports on their X1900XTX card. There has been some controversy with ATI cards not supporting the new HDMI interface, but they have released cards that support this feature. The card supports up to two LCD monitors with DVI connections, two CRT monitors with analog connections (with the adapters) or any combination of the two types of monitors.
