The X1900XTX is the best available video card on the market today in terms of image quality. The ability to use HDR+MSAA in games like Oblivion makes the X1900XTX the choice for the discerning high-end consumer. I've always felt that speed was the most important factor, but with the advent of this generation of video cards, image quality is more important to me.
Positives of GIGABYTE's package include the standard cooling and reference design from ATI. With several overclocked NVIDIA cards having problems, a standard reference design can be a boon, as ATI has tested the X1900XTX to run at 650/1.6GHz stably. Overclocking the X1900XTX or 7900GTX, for that matter, is mostly to gain a few hundred 3DMarks, not worth it in my opinion.
Of course, ATI is preparing for the future with their next generation product line. It's likely we'll see their next generation sometime this year. Video cards come and go in cycles and inflection points. The last major inflection point was the introduction of DirectX 9.0. The next major inflection point for video cards will be Windows Vista and Direct3D10.
