We did see it coming - that the inclusion of APFC would indeed boost the costs, but with many benefits to boost. Considering but a $10 difference between units, we'd consider the sexy finish, beefier fan, and lower peak draw to be reasons enough to grab the APFC model over the standard one. With ever rising energy costs in all forms, and the habits of some users to be overtly clumsy (with an input voltage of 100-240V, you're mostly covered), we'd figure that you're set when it comes to a solution here. As such, we'd have to push an answer to the question posed at the start of this review - yes, Active PFC is a feature that's not only worth time and consideration, but it should be one to bear a factor to weigh in the purchase of your next PSU.
