One thing I have to take Spire to task on slightly is their stiff almost unbendable cables. The cables are so stiff that I broke off one of the SATA power connectors when trying to bend the cable into a SATA Not a good thing to happen when you're trying to install a SATA HDD. Fortunately, the modular nature of the PSU allows easy ordering of a replacement cable. If this happened on another PSU the cable would be totally lost to use. And stiff cables aren't necessarily a detriment when the cable goes straight from the PSU to the device needing power.

Stability and use in a Crossfire system was excellent. I installed two X1800XT cards, one a Crossfire edition card and the other an ASUS X1800XT TOP card. Testing was done with the normal stability and motherboard tests without issue as to crashes or insufficient power. Running the system full-tilt with a 4000+, a GB of DDR memory, 2 74GB HDDs, 2 DVD-ROMs and a floppy drive for 24 hours was completely stable. The next setup I tried was 2 7800GTs on a SLI motherboard. This worked as advertised and had no issues as well.
