- XFX 6600 256MB XXX Edition video card
- Driver CD 78.01Y
- DVI-I to D-Sub adapter
- TV-Out Cable
- Far Cry
My first 3D video card was a 3dfx Voodoo3D from Diamond, the Diamond Monster3D. This card came with over 20 games and game demos that took advantage of the features of the new card, the Glide API. I miss the days where the video card came with a wide selection of full games and game demos. XFX decided to include Far Cry as part of their bundle, a relatively older game today but that fits the features and performance of the 6600 perfectly. The Driver CD included was version 78.01Y, indicating which driver version is included on the CD.

One thing about XFX products I've always liked is the way they package them. Most XFX cards come in a X shaped box that is nearly impossible to open without breaking a seal and Hardware-wise the card comes with a DVI-I to D-Sub adapter and a TV Out cable. While this isn't the most exciting hardware bundle in the world, it gets the job done with the card. XFX includes both a comprehensive User's Guide and a Multi-Language Quick-Installation Guide. This is cool in and of itself, as not every owner of the new card would read or write English.

NVIDIA has recently released 81.98 Forceware drivers for their GeForce series of video cards. The first NVIDIA driver name they used was the Detonator with the TNT series. Today NVIDIA releases a new driver every few months or so. Their competition releases a new driver, Catalyst, every month or so, with two driver releases this year already. Coolbits is NVIDIA's overclock utility, it hs options to automatically overclock or manually overclock the card.
