After long consideration, I decided not to use our standard AGP platform for this review. There's two problems with using the same platform, games have progressed a long way since 2004, and the rest of the hardware is a bit outdated as well. The next question to arise was what hardware should I use? I decided to use the same FX-57 CPU and other components as our video card platform. The motherboard is a GIGABYTE Socket 939 AGP board. I also decided to use the same tests: F.E.A.R., Doom 3, HL2, COD2, Quake4, 3DMark06, 3DMark05, 3DMark03.
