XFX 7800GS AGP Extreme Edition Review :: Bundle and Drivers

XFX decided to bundle the card with a minimal games bundle. I prefer game manufacturers to include a selection of games like Sapphire and their Select program, or ASUS and King Kong, or EVGA and their Quake4 and Battlefield 2 promotions. XFX includes a few game demos from Ubisoft including F-22 Lightning 3, Armored Fist 3, F-16 Multirole Fighter, and Delta Force Land Warrior.

The hardware included with the card comes with the requisite hardware needed for the card to run. XFX includes: A driver CD, A DVI to D-Sub adapter, a S-Video cable, a power cable, a Quick Installation Guide and a User's Manual. The DVI to D-Sub adapter allows you to use dual CRT monitors at the same time. The S-Video cable allows you to attach a TV to the PC and play computer games on the TV.

XFX packaged the 7800GS AGP Extreme Edition in their signature X-shaped box. Their retail packaging is very hard to open, as they tape every end of the box and package the card in another smaller box. The top of the secondary box has the drivers and hardware accessories, the bottom of the box has the card itself wrapped in a plastic container instead of the normal anti-static bag found in most cards. XFX boxes are impossible to open without making it obvious, so its added protection to the store from theft.
