The hardware the ASUS X1800XT came with is outstanding. There is a trend among video card companies to include things like a Webcam or gamepad with the card. ASUS has included a Webcam with their high-end video cards for years. The X1800XT comes with a XitePad gamepad. The XitePad comes with 8 buttons, a 8way D-pad, and two joysticks. The XitePad seems similar in size to the original Xbox controller. The other components of the hardware bundle give you enough to get you started and more. The 2 DVI-I to D-Sub adapters allow you to take advantage of the 2 DVI-I connectors on the board. The VIVO cable is used to take advantage of the Theater chip on the card's rear. Game-wise the bundle is about as up-to-date as one can expect from a video card today. A free copy of Peter Jackson's King Kong game is included; it was released late last year. The other games are rather dated. Snow Blind is a FPS game and Xpand Rally is a racing game. ASUS DVD XP is a customized version of the popular PowerDVD from Cyberlink. ASUS also includes PowerDirector 3. ATI has committed to a monthly release schedule (i.e. more than 12 a year) of driver updates that are WHQLed. Terry Makedon is the lead guy at their driver team AKA Catalyst Maker on the forums. The latest drivers are the 6.1 set, with support for the X1800 series and that's the driver set I used in testing and using the ASUS EAX X1800XT TOP card. The CCC interface is very intuitive with options for every video setting. Contents:
