The first game I threw at the ASUS X1800XT was F.E.A.R.. This was the game of the year in my opinion of 2005. The X1800XT played the game without problems up to and including the maximum resolution of my main monitor at home 1280x1024 32-bit. Further I set the AA to 6x and the AF to 16x without issue. If you haven't played F.E.A.R. yet, I would highly recommend it and the X1800XT is a good fit. Serious Sam II was another fun game last year. This game has you take the role of Sam in a quest to explore five worlds. There are a lot of cool effects in the game including HDR lighting on the fires. Early versions of the game had a rendering bug with X1800XT hardware, giving a pixilated mess where a beautiful fire was supposed to be displayed. The latest patch fixed this problem and the game is fully playable at 1280x1024 32-bit with 6x AA and 16x AF. The third game I tried on the ASUS X1800XT is the game included with the card, King Kong The Movie game. If you ever wanted to take the role of the big ape from the early part of the movie, to a possibly different ending than the movie this is the game to do it. You face off against Tyrannosaurus Rex dinosaurs, to humans to the climactic battle atop the Empire State Building. The game played absolutely perfectly on a FX-57 system with 2GB and the ASUS X1800XT card. Civilization 4 is the latest iteration of the classic series first introduced many years ago by Sid Meier. The first time I played Civilization, the game came on a single floppy disk. The graphics and interface have been improved with the latest version, but the basic game play is the same. The X1800XT played the game without issue. One thing about Civ4 being a turn-based RTS game is the graphics card is not really stressed by the graphics. Game screenshotsContents:
