The ATI X1600XT is retailing for $169 USD and should therefore be compared in performance to a 6600GT from NVIDIA, rather than the 6800GS that NVIDIA would want to compare it to. One thing that should be interesting about the performance of the X1600XT is whether or not the card shows a real performance difference between it and 12 pixel pipeline cards like the 6800GS versus having 4 pixel outputs and 12 pixel Shader processors like the X1600XT.
