Serious Sam was one of my all-time favorite fun games. You are Sam Stone trying to save the world from a bunch of monsters. On the GIGABYTE X1800XL and other ATI X1K series cards, there is rendering problems with this game when HDR is enabled. The fires are pixilated, making a beautifully rendered fire look like a big mess with HDR enabled. Otherwise the X1800XL plays Serious Sam 2 well.
First Encounter Assault Recon (F.E.A.R.) is the latest FPS (First Person Shooter) from Monilith, the same company that developed SHOGO. This game is one of the scariest games I've ever played. Even the beginning, where you are tasked with missions has scary flashbacks with a little girl and a cannibal. Graphically, the game is a tour de force, with extensive use of Pixel Shader 2.0 effects, Soft Shadows and more.
One recent game I've enjoyed is GUN. Starring Kris Kristopherson and other famous actors, GUN is a Western shootout without peer among modern games. Graphically, the game looks like a near direct port of the Playstation 2 version of the game, but it still has its moments. The GIGABYTE card was able to play throughout without slowdowns or problems of any kind.
