Crucial Ballistix PC2-6400 Memory Review

In the end, we found that this memory, while suited to the enthusiast, has very little grounding within the more extreme niches. While it is capable of holding down timings of 4-4-4-12 utilizing 2V at 800MHz, there is absolutely no room above this point to continue from. Thus, in the end, it seems that we've ended up with a set of stellar PC2-5300 sticks rather than PC2-6400. To that end, these modules would compliment any system running memory at such a speed, as well as overclockers who are looking to get the most out of their older motherboards. In the end, while we admittedly can't recommend this as extreme Overclocking memory, it's still a good solid buy for those who want a fast, stable system as well as those who need incredible latencies at lower speeds. With that in mind, we're sure you won't be disappointed with Crucial's modules.
