Considering that this heatsink comes out no quieter and no cooler than the Intel reference design (which is quite a design to beat), we see little point in purchasing this heatsink unless you've got a theme to adhere to, or are on a tight enough budget to buy an OEM chip. Even though they have conveniently included the backplate, and the design is impressive to the eye, those two facts together just aren't enough to justify upgrading to this heatsink if you already have a decent one in your system. In the end it was just a very so-so solution that is very middle of the road.
