Crucial's continuation to the Ballistix legacy is not one to be missed - these modules are capable of high speeds at tight timings, and to boot run exceptionally cool (granted, this is the nature of DDR2). To those looking to outfit a system with memory that will be nearly guaranteed to be compatible and stable, there's nowhere else to look besides Crucial. Not only does it manage top speeds, but also holds the flag high in the build quality division. Thus, in the end we have absolutely no reservations about recommending Crucial's Ballistix PC2-5300. While there is in fact faster memory out there with tighter latencies, Crucial's offering is more than likely to fit any bill without the need for tweaking or tuning a multitude of little settings just to get ahead.
