Chaintech is one of the top Taiwanese manufacturers of computer components. Rated number 6 in video card production and number 7 in motherboard production, Chaintech is a company that has been around since 1986. That is a long time in computer terms, as companies like NVIDIA didn't even exist in 1986. Today, Chaintech has over 1000 employees.

NVIDIA designs and markets a variety of computer equipment including graphics chips, motherboard chipsets, and other devices. Founded in 1993 by Jen-Hsun Huang, NVIDIA is one of the duopoly of video chip manufacturers. NVIDIA and ATI make the vast majority of the video cards sold today. Intel controls most of the market by virtue of its integrated graphics platform.
