Corsair Xpert XMS 3200XL Memory Review :: Conclusion

When the last benchmark finished, the clocks finally reaching their peak, I was left with a general feeling of contentment with this memory. The aesthetics and performance lead me to choose to keep it for my main rig, although the Overclocking aspect wasn't all too thrilling in the end. For the money however, these are excellent modules, giving you a nice combination of looks and performance for your hard earned dollar (or whichever currency you happen to take advantage of). They have proven themselves to be on par with the rest of the market performance wise, and will no doubt fit into many a machine with style and easy. The only potential issue to these modules comes from the alarming heat output - with one module at 49C and the other at 43C; it was a little toasty for my tastes. To boot, the parametric displays block any and all airflow from above, forcing the ram to rely on air flowing between the slots in order to cool it down. On some motherboards such as mine, this flow is simply non-existent. Granted, most enthusiasts should be able to come up with a solution to this issue. Kudos to Corsair on the great modules!
