All the necessary parts were included in the box to get up and going, and regardless of what Swiftech product you buy this will be the case ,as they pay attention to the small details as well as the large ones. There is work involved here, of that there is no denying, but a little attention to detail and patience will help you get through the installation process without too much hassle.
Setup was a dual-fold event as we first installed the 80-S at my house and started testing with our system. We had a few hurdles in the learning experience of first time installation as our unit was pre-manual era and a few things were completely new in this assembly. Getting all the air out of the tubes and bleeding the unit were our main problems as was installing the unit before filling and testing it, which was a lesson well learned. We were cool with what we had and were prepared to finish our review, but when we took the system down to Swiftech to have the system checked out, Gabe insisted on switching us to the newer more powerful 120-F and then he redid the entire system there in his shop for us so we could continue testing with the newer system. When we were refilling the system with the liquid some of the liquid got on the board and shorted out the PS2 connections for the keyboard, something we found out when we got back and began testing the 120. Setup can be as easy or as hard as you make it, and assembling the system prior to installation will help avoid unforeseen fill and bleed problems. Overall the entire process was a learning experience for us and although we had a few hurdles to overcome it was a lot of fun seeing the system in action, and now that there is a detailed manual it should be much easier on the end user.
