AMD Sempron Versus Intel Celeron CPU Review

The CPU comes with a very affordable price tag by today's standards as $125.00 U.S is a very attractive number when compared to some of the other CPUs on the market selling for up to a $1000.00. You might think to yourself that the Sempron being a lower-end CPU means sacrificing major CPU power and that just does not seem to be the case in most situations from a users perspective as the machine we built hummed along without any problems running anything we installed into it.

The bottom line is the Sempron does what it is supposed to do and it does it efficiently and with low heat as well. That is all anyone could ask for in any case and the Sempron can hold it's own in the budget CPU market. We were without much effort able to configure a gamer oriented system in the $500.00 price range and an office machine for under $400.00, which is good thing in the big picture. I am sure we will see system integrators jumping on this CPU to make their affordable PC, and with major CPU buying power, these companies can even build systems in a lower price bracket than previously seen. The Sempron is starting to become the Celeron killer.
