Performance on the A-I-W X800XT is exactly in line with the X800XT AGP card from ATI. As such, it performs near the top of the line on the AGP side of things and will play each game available now. It is really too bad that ATI did not release the card last year, before the X850XT PE and X850XT were released. In any event, the X850 is a slightly overclocked version of the same chip as found on the A-I-W X800XT.
As far as features go, the A-I-W X800XT is the most feature-rich multimedia video card on the market today. You get an excellent television tuner, the speed and features of one of the highest performing video cards on the market, a bundle of software that allows you to use the card, and a remote control. In other words you get everything you would need to operate your A-I-W X800XT in every conceivable situation. The MSRP of the card is $499 USD. Normally, I do not suggest video cards costing over $300 to the average user. The A-I-W X800XT, however, has the features, performance, bundle to justify the high cost. In fact, if I was using an AGP based system today, this would be my primary video card. AGP cards still make up the vast majority of video cards sold on the market today, especially from non-OEMs like Dell, Gateway, Compaq etc.. The AGP bus was introduced in 1997, and virtually all video cards sold since that time were AGP. That makes the installed base for AGP video cards much more than a one-year introduction of the PCI Express standard could make up for. The A-I-W X800XT fits the bill for the market place. Hopefully ATI will introduce a PCI Express x16 version of the card shortly.
