Wow. All I have to say is wow. I thought the Zalman CNPS7700-AlCu performed great, but this Big Typhoon just proved me wrong. The superiority of the heatpipes makes its mark and triumphs with the Big Typhoon. The new Thermaltake flagship cooler kept my CPU running nice and cool. Although the new cooler performed extremely well, I do have one annoyance, and that is the installation method. Thermaltake's installation provides great contact and keeps the heavy cooler in place, but it is a bit harder to manage than leading competitions. If you don't tighten the cooler with a screwdriver like I explained, you'll have an extremely hard time fiddling with the small washers.

Installation is an important ingredient in making a good cooler, and Thermaltake should take the time to come up with something easier and less straining. But if you follow the method I provided, you'll have an easier time and less pain on your fingers. It's one small annoyance but an annoyance nonetheless. The performance sure makes up for it though. And while the installation method is a little disappointing, the performance is simply superb. New cooler in my system? You bet.
