There is a reason that Thermaltake is one of the most popular companies around these days in the cooling market. Why wouldn't you know a big name like them? They make practically every cooling product possible for a computer system. I must admit that when they first started, I wasn't very fond of their products. Their heatsinks weren't great performers and didn't even look attractive. The only heatsink I actually did like was the Thermaltake Volcano 7+ I reviewed ages ago at OCAddiction.com. It is only recently that Thermaltake started producing quality coolers at a reasonable price.
The Silent Boost series kept overclocked systems at good temps without the noise baggage. When the use of heatpipes blossomed in the cooling industry, Thermaltake quickly released their SilentTower. Although it only used 80mm fans, the SilentTower was a huge success. The 6 long heatpipes paired with numerous fins gave enthusiasts a silent computing environment. While it's an excellent heatsink, Thermaltake does not cease to rest. Recently they announced their new Big Typhoon cooler, a 6-heatpipe heatsink paired with a large 120mm fan. This new Big Typhoon is huge, and I mean huge.
