From the results obtained, the MCX64-V provided stellar performance under low noise levels. It was not any louder than the stock cooler I had. The amazing thing about the MCX64-V that many people fail to realize that it meets all of AMD's thermal and weight requirements. The heat sink is light, quite contrary to what looks perceive. The heat sink does an excellent job at cooling at low noise levels, contrary to what many think is possible. A fan is bundled with the package, thus lowering the overall cost for a good Athlon64/Opteron cooler. The installation process is simply child's play. It is extremely easy to install and has no compatibility issues whatsoever. Another pro is that it certainly looks a lot better than the standard stock cooler. If users do want the option to use a more powerful fan, they certainly are welcome to change it out easily. With all these great positives, the MCX64-V easily wins an editor's choice award.
