The 3100+ running at 1.8GHz should theoretically show better performance values than the than the 2800+ running at 2.0GHz due to the enhancements of the 754 chipset and CPU design even though the actual clock speed is lower.
I used boards with on-board graphics for both the Celeron and Sempron tests and then redid the tests using a ATI 9700 Pro to show how much difference there is between using the on-board VGA versus a discreet VGA solution. The tests show the Sempron and the Nforce2 chipset to be the scoring leader when using the on-board graphics and the Sempron once again leading when using the discreet VGA solution.
