We tested the AMD MSI FX-53 939 in its 940-pin flavor and it was one fast CPU here in the lab so I did not think there would be much difference in its new 939 package. As you can see in the tests below the scoring has never been closer and if you just hopped on one P4 Intel machine and then hopped over to an AMD Athlon 64 system the user would be hard set to discern the difference as they are all but indistinguishable from each other from the interface aspect. I think that performance wise these two platforms are becoming so close as to almost seem the same, and that is a good thing, I mean when you think Ford or Chevy they are both great companies with good cars. Why shouldn't your CPU choices be as simple as that, it would really be easier on everyone if they perform in the end users aspect "The Same" then it will just be personal choice. Differences in naming schemes are still confusing even to me, as AMD has rather odd ways of naming that are probably due with trying to compete with the current markets interpretation of CPU speeds.
