Gigabyte has traditionally provided the best gaming bundles with their video cards, and the bundle included with the 5900XT is no exception. The hardware bundle includes a DVI-I to VGA adapter necessary for those that want to run 2 CRT monitors, a S-Video out cable for TV out and the card itself. The only other thing that I would have liked to have seen would be a Y-Cable so you can split off the Molex connector to provide power to the card, but that's a optional item.

The software bundle on the other hand is out of this world and has been improved upon with the addition of Call of Duty. The games included include Tomb Raider Angel Of Darkness which is a bit of an overrated DirectX 9 game in my opinion, Arx Fatalis, a RPG, Rainbow Six 3 Raven Shield, and the aforementioned Call Of Duty. Call Of Duty was one of the best games released last year. A World War II FPS in it you take the role of one of 3 sides of that huge conflict. If you haven't picked up the game yet I strongly suggest you do so. The other addition to the software bundle is PowerDVD 5. PowerDVD is Cyberlink's DVD player. Personally I prefer WinDVD but as a added bonus it's excellent.

Drivers

One thing that I've always liked about NVIDIA products is their driver support. The latest available driver off NVIDIA's site is 56.72 and was used throughout my testing. NVIDIA has included application specific profiles with the latest drivers. This allows you to change settings in the control panel, save them and have the driver automatically load the profile when a game is started up. I wish ATI also did this but that won't happen till an upcoming release driver.

While playing a few games I noticed a few things. Far Cry played well, but was unplayable when turning on AA or AF. As it's the most demanding game available, Far Cry really requires a X800 or 6800 to run full settings and with AA or AF. An enjoyable experience was had playing games like UT2004, Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow, Battlefield: Vietnam and other recent games. I haven't noticed any real glaring issues with the games I've played.
