CPU: AMD 2.4GHz FX-53 VS Intel 3.4GHz XE :: Setup and Systems

There is no way to completely test the AMD and Intel platforms in an apple to apple test bed as they both use their respected technologies and designs, but the way I see it using the best of both camps products is as close as it gets in this arena. The only real difference is in the memory as the FX series uses only registered memory while the P4 platform does not support registered but on ECC type RAM. Installing either CPU was a simple task of a little thermal paste a quick insertion of the chip, pull the lever down securing the CPU to the ZIF Socket and then connect the heatsink/fan.
