Okay well if you have not heard of these tests, this is either your first review to be read or you just landed on planet earth as 3Dmark is the unquestionable leader of the user/reviewer Direct-X 3D test suite. Known as the leader of the desktop jockeys 3D test platform this has become the home of the overclocking madmen who compete for the number one spot in the comparison score section.

Many people have made a name for themselves for winning the coveted top spot and beating out there friends and fellow competitors. The P4 gets smoked in 2001SE by the 3400+, but we see the gap close significantly in 2003 showing the CPU's at almost identical performance. A few really brave or really stupid VGA companies in the past have tried to trick users on how well there products chipset performs, how? By creating enhanced drivers that increased the scores in these tests only to be caught and publicly humiliated helping to bring ruin to there own names. Ouch.
