CPU: Intel Pentium 4 3.2GHz (C) Northwood Review :: Rendering Benchmarks

Author: Doc Overclock · 06-25-2003 · Category: Hardware - Processors

These tests help define which CPU is better able to handle and calculate the numbers it takes to effectively render 3D animations. Intel has always beaten AMD in this arena as AMD does not really focus on this aspect of the CPU because of its limited viability in the end users desktop market. Most people at home will not be using their computer to try and make a 3D game, just play them so take that in mind when viewing these scores. If you are one of the few who would do this at home the Intel CPU is engineered better for handling these applications but for professional results a Xeon system is much more up to the task for this job.
