Putting this thing together is the only aspect of this unit to be a problem as the unit, like I have stated previously this is a very small confine and people with large hands or not an infinite amount of patience will probably get a little frustrated during assembly. If you are a first time builder I would recommend you fully immerse yourself in the manual and familiarize yourself completely on what goes where in the MEGA PC. The connectors are all well marked but working inside of such a small area is very challenging even to someone with years of experience due to its space confines which make it hard to get in and out of. The memory and PCI/AGP card are also in very confined spaces.
The hard drive mounts upside down and this is just a bad design as with a couple of new screw holes the HD could be mounted properly and right side up so why leave it this way when such a fix is clearly available and easy to implement. I modified my units drive bay to accommodate the HD in its correct manner and it took all of five minutes to re-drill a couple of new mounting holes so the factory should be able to accomplish this very easily. Beyond these two factors the unit is designed well and offers the user a simple CPU fan that installs without hassle as well as adequate slots for your PCI or AGP card if you choose to make use of them.
The BIOS is straightforward and is based on the AWARD modular chip that offers the user a fair amount of control over your systems performance but not enough to call it an enthusiasts dream. Overclocking is not supported as the system offers either a 100/133MHz FSB that is not adjustable in higher increments by the user. The different on-board options can be either enabled/disabled and the Mega PC can operate as a stand-alone hi-fi unit or that and a PC at the same time. Disabling the audio and video options from the BIOS will allow you to install your own sound or graphics cards which will please the enthusiasts out there. Hardware Monitoring is available and shows fairly accurate CPU temps that read within close range of a direct probe. . There are grills on both the sides of the case allowing for the air to circulate better within the unit.
