Performance wise the 8X versions of the Ti-4200 series offered only about a three to four percent increase over its 4X brethren but as software companies start to take advantage of the new 8X spec the cards performance should increase in kind. One thing I do like about the Ti series in general is their excellent compatibility with games. Don't get me wrong I love my RADEON 9700 pro but there have been a couple of driver issues that plagued some games requiring a patch to set things right. I did not encounter any problems with any game I played using the Ti-4200 8X and using the latest 41.09 drivers I downloaded off the NVIDIA site. Both the 64MB and the 128MB version showed good scores and were completely stable throughout all of our tests here in the lab.
