An oldie but a goodie. Quake3 is being used in this review to show performance penalties that the 9700 Pro incurs in the game when antialiasing and anisotropic filtering are enabled. As the 9700 Pro is mostly limited by my CPU and memory in the lower resolutions, I've decided not to include scores for the 640x480 and 800x600 here. I play every game on my system at 1280x1024 so, that's the resolution I'll use for Quake3.
Antialiasing is basically free for 2x and with a minimal performance hit with 4x FSAA. With 6x FSAA, there's a performance hit, but it's more than playable.
