Video Card: ATI Radeon 9700 Pro Review :: Conclusion

Amazingly enough ATI whooped some serious ass on Nvidia this round and rumor has it, has sent them back to R&D with their chipsets between their legs playing the unpopular role of catch-up. Not since they gobbled up 3DFX has Nvidia been sorely tested for the crown of 3D king, as every six months they have been able to reinvent themselves and keep ahead. Guess what Nvidia, hand the crown over to ATI. A new king has been born!

Visually with all the new feature enhancements available no one can touch the 9700 Pro as far as pure visual quality and at high resolutions the ATI card shows its true rendering capabilities outpacing its peers by a good margin. Games look awesome and play even better. There will be initial problems with the drivers as always but ATI is working hard to insure greater compatibility across the board.

This is an award-winning card that tops the charts in the 3D arena and will make the die-hard Nvidia card fans shake their heads in wonder. This is a true gamers card and even the most skeptical of users will find themselves in a warm happy spot while using this card. Good job again ATI you now have control over the top of the line and entry-level gamers market a solid thumbs up to you!
