Performance

I was able to achieve amazing results while using the Q Power case from Swiftech and was finally able to break the 3.0GHz barrier. I was able to take my unlocked 2.2GHz P4 Northwood up 800MHz which is really amazing. I set the FSB at 125MHz and the clock speed at 24X and the system posted and loaded Windows XP at a steady 3.0GHz which just plain kicks ass. I took awhile before writing this review to see how the system would hold up in the day-to-day environment and can tell you that it is just plain incredible in its ability to keep the system at a steady temperature.

Most people assume that the lower the temperature, the better performance results that can be achieved and although this is true, maintaining a constant temperature is just as important for a stable system environment.

I choose the MSI Ge-Force 3 ti200 for the video card in this test round as many people are currently using it as their main VGA solution and seemed a perfect balanced choice between the top dog and the underdog in the video card arena.

I experimented a bit and used the latest SYSmark 2002 test program to get a feel for how it operates along with a program anyone can download and use for comparison testing PCmark 2002. This system got amazing scores and ran through all the tests without any problems. Using the Q Power case my system temperature varied between 21-34 Celsius depending on the room temperature, which is actually better than the results I thought I would be able to achieve. Liquid cooling is well worth the money if you consider yourself a no hold barred overclocker as the results prove themselves.

For stability we use Burn in Pro and Prime 95. The system passed both tests with flying colours and never locked up or blue screened during the testing or operating procedure. The Q Power was solid and stable as the rock of Gibraltar.
