CPUs: The Clash of the Titans - Intel vs AMD :: Conclusion

The bottom line comes to personal choice and what you want form your CPU. The tests results are so close that to say one is really better or faster is almost impossible in all fairness. Each CPU has its own unique style and flair and can be used in a variety of applications but neither solution can officially be used in a multi-CPU environment as the XP and P4 line are both a single processor solution. AMD has a dual solution in their MP line that is due to be released in the 2000+ version very shortly while Intel’s dual solution comes in the form of their Xeon class CPUs.

This is one of the toughest and most notable arguments in web forums around the globe today with the Intel camp on one side throwing stones and the AMD camp on the other throwing bottles. For my personal systems I use both AMD and Intel solutions and the only real difference to me is that AMD motherboards are pickier than Intel ones are, which can be a hurdle for beginner computer builders and Intel stuff is just much more expensive. I mean hey they both work and they both work well. The choice lies in your own feelings and experiences as in the end it is entirely up to you and what you want or need. This bout ended in a draw. I cannot wait for the re-match.
