Thermaltake have taken their Level 10 and essentially just given it a new paint job. That being said, the Level 10 is an outstanding case with very few issues. With this new paint job it really is going to stand out no matter where you put it. If this is something that you’re going for then this will be a case you should be looking at.
There are a few issues with it though. One of the most striking issues is that it’s not XL-ATX compatible. This means that motherboards like the Gigabyte G1 Assassin aren’t going to fit in this chassis. With a full tower case with all of the features that it has this is a rather disappointing issue. This will definitely reduce the number of those that would otherwise be interested in this case. For the price that is being asked for it you’d think that they’d have thought about these higher end motherboards.
When you consider everything that this case offers though, this issue is rather insignificant. One of the most useful aspects of this case is the air-flow that it provides to your hardware. For this reason it should be near the top of anyone’s list of full tower cases. There aren’t too many of these white cases, and with the proper hardware you can really make this part of an amazing looking rig. When you take into account that this has so many really nice features, you can’t help but start thinking about what hardware you’d like to use it with. This case really does excite the imagination.
To conclude this review let me start by saying that full tower cases are my personal preference. Until fairly recently all I’ve ever used were mid-tower cases so I had no idea what I was missing. With a mid-tower case you really can’t even consider custom water cooling for the most part. There just isn’t enough room to accommodate all of the extra hardware and tubing. As far as I’m concerned custom water cooling is what a full tower case is all about. You just have so many more options because of the extra room. This case is no exception. Thermaltake has designed one of the nicest full tower cases on the market and now that it has a new paint job, there are even more options for customization. If this is the path that Thermaltake is going to continue, I would think that their customer base would definitely increase. These are the kinds of improvements that we really like to see. It’s true that it’s just a change in the paint, but that change opens up so many options.
